Farewell to a Visionary Leader: Kevin Mehigh

It is with a mix of gratitude and sadness that we bid farewell to Kevin Mehigh, a cornerstone of the Foundation for Haslett Schools since 2015. Kevin has been an invaluable member of our board, lending his expertise and passion to a multitude of roles. Whether serving on the Got Taste Got Talent committee, the Executive Committee, or chairing the Grants and Business Donor Committees, Kevin has been a guiding force in our mission to support Haslett Schools.

Kevin’s contributions have been nothing short of remarkable. His professional background as the President of Air Lift—a company he transformed from a small business into a multimillion-dollar enterprise—has been evident in the ease and efficiency with which he has approached his board responsibilities. His leadership and commitment have consistently reflected his professional excellence and dedication.

Beyond his professional accolades, Kevin’s involvement with the Foundation has been profound. His financial support as a business donor and his and his wife Lori’s contributions to the Individual Donor and 100 Women campaigns have made a significant impact. One of Kevin’s most notable achievements was his role in establishing the Executive Director position, leading to the hiring of our first-ever Executive Director—a milestone that has greatly enhanced our operational capacity.

Kevin’s commitment to our cause has always been matched by his dedication to his family. As a devoted husband to Lori and father to Tyler, Adam, and Maddie, Kevin’s strong leadership and admirable character extend well beyond his professional life.

As Kevin embarks on the next chapter of his journey, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks for his unwavering support and tireless efforts. The Foundation will certainly miss his insight, leadership, and the positive spirit he brought to every meeting and initiative.
